L.E.F.emme = Women Empowerment Lab

For a more inclusive future!

What it is about:

Women in India, especially those with various forms of disabilities or mothers of children with disabilities, are often marginalised, left alone.

This makes them vulnerable and forces them to depend on others, even to the point of being abused and neglected.

We at Mancikalalu believe in the great strength and determination of these women who, once equipped with concrete tools and work skills, will have the ability to redeem themselves.

The L.E.F.emme project = Women’s Empowement Lab, was created precisely to provide 75 women with disabilities or mothers of children with disabilities with a place that offers specialised courses and training aimed at their emancipation.

L.E.F.emme is a lab created with women in mind guarantees them flexibility, a physical and mental space in which they can work, a place where they can meet and listening, a place where they can be educated on gender and emancipation policies and marketing opportunities.

Women will be able to choose to specialise in tailoring, paper plate making, loom use, or take computer courses and other various handcrafts.

They will then be free to choose whether to become ‘freelancers’ and use the project spaces and equipment or to join a cooperative model and become part of a group.

L.E.F.emme ‘is not just a project’, it is a place that gives welcome, training, support and hope to the women who are part of it!

What you can do:

By activating distance support, which involves a regular contribution to the women of the ‘L.E.F.emme’ project, you will support their training and their present.

The minimum recommended contribution is €350, which will partially cover the cost of training courses, rent and centre expenses.

Every woman has a history and a difficult past. She just needs to believe in herself to be reborn!
